Articles about Entertaiment
Entertainment has a wide and varied range, from an individual watching a film, play or television programme; to a couple attending a banquet; to an entire community gathering to celebrate, mourn or satirise, with many events taking place in public spaces for the benefit of wider audiences. The word entertainment derives from the Latin intertenere, with its Indo-European root ten, meaning “stretch.” This flexibility allows for a large number of themes and images to be reused repeatedly and to transform in new forms. This transformation shows the great potential of entertainment to fulfil a number of social needs.
